DR Horton began building homes in Arizona Traditions in 1997 with the completion of build out in 2013.  The newer homes are in the retreat at Arizona Traditions phase. All the homes are single family one story with 18-floor plans ranging in size from 11,05 square feet to 2,391 square feet. Arizona Traditions Golf Club recently teamed up with the Great Eagle Golf Club right next door, and all passes are good for both courses.  Arizona Traditions Golf Club is an 18-hole Tom Nash golf course with great views of the White Tank Mountains. The course has rolling terrain, lots of mature trees and challenging fairways.  Great Eagle Golf Club is a par-72 championship course with lots of bunkers and five holes where water is a playing factor. Great Eagle is rated one of the most affordable golf courses in Arizona.

Arizona Traditions, located in Surprise Arizona, is nestled in the foothills of the White Tank Mountains. It is 38.8 miles and about 40 minutes from Phoenix airport. Residents enjoy the convenience of shopping nearby with grocery stores (Safeway and Fry’s), pharmacies (CVS and Walgreen’s), banks, gas stations and restaurants on their doorstep.  There is even an Ace Hardware and Sam’s Warehouse within 2 miles.  Trader Joe’s is about 6 miles away.  Arrowhead Shopping Mall is about 20 minutes away, and Del Webb Hospital in Sun City West is the closest hospital about 12 minutes away.  The on-ramp to Interstate 303 is 2 miles to the west of the community.  For those with friends in Sun City West, Sun City Grand, and Sun City Festival, you are in look; they are all close by.
