Glorified Ghetto
Sun City has no police enforcement, alot of homeless, drug addicts, thieves, rundown recreational centers, a board of directors that does not listen or care what the community wants, dogs running loose and barking constantly, people walking through your yards constantly, and some of the most hateful, mean, and nasty residents I have ever met my entire life. In short, it is a glorified ghetto with 7 pools.
Not worth it
Sun City, Arizona, at least the original section of it lis not a fun place to live at all. There’s no racial diversity whatsoever, and old people aren’t always as nice as you think they’d be. The recreation centers are not worth the $650 fee every year and are only getting more expensive. The posse is a joke laughable at that. If you want a life of boredom it’s a perfect place for you!

If you want to.live in a community where no rules are enforced, dogs running at large, homeless and drug addicts, hardly no response from the police on emergency calls, hateful old people that make those who are younger feel not welcome, theives at the pools and recreation centers, and New Years eve parties that end at 9pm, then this is the place for you.
Best kept secret!
We have 11 golf courses, 7 recreation centers, and 7 pools. Recreation center fees and property taxes are low compared to smaller communities. There are so many different types of activities and venues. Sun City is a great place for retirees!
