Sun City Festival Reviews:
SCF is not all it’s cracked up to be
We moved here in November and if I would have known that we would be surrounded by snobby neighbors and block parties with music blasting like I’m in a family community. We never would have moved here knowing they only enforce the CC&Rs hen it’s convenient for them, there is dog poop at every greenery and dogs constantly barking all day and night and nothing gets down. I am putting this house up for sale as soon as possible horrible neighborhood and don’t believe them when they tell you a grocery store is coming people who have lived here 6 years are still waiting on that grocery store!
SENIOR RETIREMENT COMMUNITY
This community states 55 plus. It is an awesome community for 70 plus. It truly is a Senior Community.
If you do plan on moving here, I would recommend a resale home not a new build. Sales department is great to work with, but getting the builder to come and do Warranty work and or repairs is a nightmare.
Response from Retire Arizona Resort Style
Hi JB, Thank you for writing a review. Sorry you had issues with the builder’s warranty work. Perhaps you can speak to your new home sales consultant. On the age front, you might consider joining active groups and activities like pickleball, dancing, etc. These activities tend to attract the younger home owners. Hope these suggestions help.-Sharon
Love this place
So much to do! Great people and great fun. People are so friendly.
Be aware.
Three years after we moved in the City of Buckeye and the developer did a unscrupulous thing.
They allowed a sixty-five foot ugly communication pole to ruin the views of many homeowners.
The pole was installed in the summer months while many of the residents were absent. The pole violates two City of Buckeye statutes. It exceeds 50 feet and it is too close to adjacent property lines based on its height.
It’s all see when I sit in my backyard and look up.
Don't come here for community fun
We moved here thinking there would be so much commuity fun. We are wrong. You will create your own fun. In your own yard. There is next to no things to do with outdoor music or community get together. What a shame.
A Great Place to Retire
My wife and I purchased at SCF after traveling from California to Florida, Tennessee, and Texas looking for a retirement community that would fit our needs. We were told by a couple in California that we needed to visit Festival in Arizona. They had been there the previous week and highly recommended this wonderful community. We contacted Sharon Rowlson, who was also recommeded as an expert in the local retirement community in the Phoenix area. We then visited the sales office of Fesiival with Sharon and after looking at the models and talking to the sales office, we made the decision to make an offer. If it were not for Sharon and her experience in this field, we may not have been afforded the opportunity to buy in such a great atmosphere. She was thorough in her knowledge of the community and with her insight as to what we needed, the process was easy. Sun City Festival is the place where you are offered many amenities, including a 27 hole golf course, 2 swimming pools and exercise facilites. The people living here are wonderful and freely offer their recommendations on what activities are available. This is a the right place for retirees who are active. We made the right decision and have told our friends who live all over this country about the best place to retire.. Thank you Sharon for your insight and knowledge of Sun City Festival.
Perfect place for Active Fun living
My wife and I searched for years to find a place we could great amenities, have the home of our dreams, and be able to make and enjoy new friends. We have found that at Sun City Festival. We can experience the quiet of the desert or be in town in a short drive to see a good concert or experience the nightlife of Phoenix.
Fantastic People Living in a Fantastic Neighborhood
Sun City Festival is filled with people that define what an Active Adult Community looks like. When we first toured the neighborhood with Salesperson, Ken Plonski, we were struck by how many of the clubrooms were filled with people utilizing them! So many other retirement communities felt like ghost towns. People here want to get to know you and include you in their activities and life. You will love it here!
Fun City Festival
My wife and I absolutely enjoy Sun City Festival. There is so much to do and the people are so friendly. Every week our schedule is filled with things to do with brand new friends! We enjoy the fact that we are outside the hustle and bustle of Surprise, AZ. But restaurants, shopping and medical are just a beautiful 15-20 minute ride away. We have gotten involved in several of the 40+ clubs, but what we enjoy the most is relaxing on our patio with friends enjoying the sunsets on the White Tank Mountains. For our money, the value we found in Sun City Festival was hard to match in any active adult community in the Valley. And we know things will just get better. The best is yet to be!
